With that out of the way, let's start.

HISTORY

Ritsu Kageyama is the younger brother of the Kageyama brothers. Unlike his brother, Shigeo Kageyama aka Mob, his psychic powers weren't present for most of his life. Though he had a natural talent towards everything else, he just couldn't seem to get how to awaken his powers. He had nearly given up, probably resigning himself to live a life of normalcy and constant building resentment to his older brother, when he decided to take part in the Big Cleanup.

To spare you of the gruesome details of the series of incidents that cut several aspiring social butterflies' image into pieces, the Big Cleanup was a mess. Ritsu played a large part in it, but one can tell it wasn't doing too good for his mental health. His guilt led him to awaken his psychic powers—which is simultaneously good and terrible. Good because he finally achieved the one thing he wanted the most—terrible because in MP100, psychic powers are directly related to emotions, even the negative ones.

Dimple, the conniving little bastard he is, uses this to his advantage and decides to "help" (gain the trust of) Ritsu by using his powers to beat up delinquents. Yada-yada, shit happens, Ritsu has to confront his brother

His brother is a pacifist with a strong sense of justice and a much much much stronger psychic than Ritsu is. He also has over a decade of experience with his powers since he's been living with them his whole life. This seems like a setup for Mob to absolutely sweep the floor with Ritsu, but note that the pacifism is something that has nearly caused him to perish. The closest Mob got to knowingly comitting murder was during the 7th Division fight and even then he didn't actually do it.

So even when Ritsu says shit, Mob still forgives him. Then Ritsu gets fucking kidnapped and it's a whole thing.

Okay, I could continue to explain the entire plot of MP100 and Ritsu's involvement, but I'm also lazy. So let's skip that for the fun stuff.
